About This Project

This digital library presents a carefully preserved collection of thirty books, primarily in Sanskrit, Bengali, and Hindi, from the personal library of His Divine Grace Śrīla A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, consulted by him while composing his commentaries on the Bhagavad-gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Caitanya-caritāmṛta, and other works. These volumes also accompanied Śrīla Prabhupāda during his travels to Vṛndāvana and other places and have been carefully maintained by Jananivāsa Prabhu in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s personal room in Śrīdhāma Māyāpur over the years. While not exhaustive of all the books Śrīla Prabhupāda may have used, they constitute a historically significant working collection.
