It is a treatise authored by Bhaktivilāsa Bhāratī, explaining the supremacy of bhakti from the Gaudiya Vaisnava perspective. The work draws upon verses from the Vedas, Upaniṣads, Bhagavad-gītā, Mahābhārata, and Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. It also includes excerpts from the Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta, Caitanya Caritāmṛta and Bhakti-sandarbha, as well as the complete texts of Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu and Madhurya-kādamvīni.
