A Hindi translation of Śaṅkarācārya’s commentary on the Bhagavad Gītā, published by Gita Press. Śaṅkara did not comment on the first chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā; he begins his Bhāṣya with a long introduction (upodghāta). The first verse he commented on directly is 2.11. However, the translator has included a Hindi translation of each verse of chapter 1 and has placed the upodghāta after verse 2.10.
